Genus of about 250 species of annual, biennial and perennial plants, that feature big, upright, cylindrical or conical inflorescences in summer.
Latin name: Delphinium "Galileo"
Plant Larkspurs in full sun, in fertile, well-drained soils. Stake plants in early spring. For a better flowering, leave 7-8 branches per plant. After the end of the flowering cut to 10-20 cm from the ground, in order to stimulate a second flowering in autumn.
Plant in groups and arrangements, or use for cut flowers.
Propagate annuals by seeds that germinate very fast when fresh, and perennials by division.
Perennial cultivar with narrow, cylindrical inflorescences of semi-double, pink flowers.
