Genus of about 20 species of perennial plants with very fragrant leaves for which they are cultivated.

They can do well even in infertile, dry,neutral or alkaline soils, in full sun and warm sites.
Plant in rock gardens, in groups for ground-covering, in borders and flowerpots. Suitable for coastal planting.
Easily propagated by cuttings.
