Genus of about 15 species of graminaceous plants. Annual and perennial plants that grow in any soil, in full sun and partial shade. Plant in groups and arrangements.

Easily propagated by division in spring.
Cut plant to the ground in winter to stimulate new growth and also in mid-summer if the leaf colour of the
coloured varieties starts to fade.
Not subject to diseases.
